Five Beauty hacks on expressing a youthful exuberance

While a good anti-aging skincare and make up routine can help to prevent wrinkles and fine lines that make the face appear older, less is apparently more when it comes to elevating that youthful look. To help you get that youthful shine that many women and other identities often yearn for, we will share with you some tips and tricks on getting that will brighten and elevate your skin!

1.Stop contouring!

While contour was all the age, many people are more about the softer look. It was a trend at that time to chisel and contour your cheek bones, now it is more about achieving the no makeup look while also elevating that makeup look. Instead of applying makeup in the contours of your face, aim higher with your blush and bronzer - the result will give you a more elevated and youthful appearance.

2. Using Matte Formulas

Though using shiny formulas might make the skin appear more glossier, using matte formulas like a bronzer will help the face look more softer. The more gloss and shine to the skin, the more pores will be noticeable.

3. Use of sun protection

As warmer weather is approaching, it is now more important than ever to protect our skin from the sun’s harmful UV light which can cause the breakdown in elastin which will make the skin look saggy with a dull appearance, more wrinkles and increase more age spots and in some extreme conditions cancer. So always use high quality sunscreen with an SPF rating of 30 which will help block both UVA and UVB rays.

4. Hydration

Science states that in order to maintain optimum health, you should aim to drink around 3.7 litres of water to help hydrate the skin as it can encourage the youthful appearance while also adding other health benefits. Dehydration can rapidly dry out your skin, resulting in more wrinkles and saggy looking skin. Dehydration can also run the risk of lack of concentration and during heat waves, it can severely trigger migraines and episodes of fatigue. So always always remember to hydrate!

5. Moisturiser

Using moisturiser on the face adds more protection to the skin barrier from irritations as it will reduce the chance of the skin developing dryness. It is important to use clinical grade moisturisers as they provide the best protection for the skin when it comes to absorption and penetration. It is important to remember to not moisturise too often as it can cause the opposite effect of looking youthful.

While there are multiple ways of treating your skin, every skin is unique so it is always advisable to do some research on how to create the most effective skincare routine for yourself. After all, it is how you take care of your skin that will begin show over time.
